Hi, I’m Tash!
a dreamer, wild enough to move from Toronto to LA and lay everything on the line to build Theory 88
- and I built it for you.
I’ll skip the gory details of breakups, home loss, and a debilitating level of uncertainty that landed me in a puddle of grief in a 300 SqFt Los Angeles apartment while everything I owned was stuck at international boarder processing for well over a year…and move right along to the part where I decided to pick up the pieces I had left and build a life I was excited to wake up for.
I had no choice but to start from scratch replacing the wardrobe and beauty items I couldn’t access - and that’s when things began to shift.
What first felt like a waste of time and money, started to spark a confidence I hadn’t felt in years. I realized this was an opportunity to reset, align who I had become with how I represented myself, and enter this new chapter with pride.
FINALLY, WHEN I LOOKED IN THE MIRROR I BEGAN TO See THE WOMAN I FOUGHT SO HARD TO BECOME.
I entered rooms differently, I was approached differently, and I had the confidence to speak up, stand out, and run after the things I wanted to create.
Within a year of that puddle of grief moment, I had fully moved to LA, built a beautiful salon beside the iconic Pink Wall on Melrose Avenue, and began working with some of the city’s most inspiring professionals.
Instead of leaving the salon industry to join a celebrity’s payroll or become an online educator, I wanted to use my 18 year experience of working with women just like you to create a space where mothers, daughters, founders, wives, it-girls, and misfits like me can all access the same caliber and convenience of a celebrity style team in an approachable, yet refined, environment that champions women from the inside out.
Because my passion really isn’t just your hair - it’s you.
